Fields trips are frequently organized by the Club, in Belgium and sometimes in North of France, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Germany.
Thanks to the obtaining licenses, the visits of quarries, abandoned or in activity, always had a lot of success.
The Field trips organized by the CMPB are indicated one month in advance in the LITHORAMA magazine and in this web site (new activities).
They, by principle, are reserved exclusively to the members of the CMPB
in rule of contribution and to their family. The latter can be
accompanied by one or several guests after having informed the
organizer as a preliminary so that the CMPB is in rule with its
organization insurer.
They require sometimes a preliminary inscription. This means
that the owner of a quarry requires that a list of
participant be addressed to him before the visit. Thus do not wait
the last minute to register you!
They are sometimes unfortunately "children not allowed". Please Get information !
Generally speaking, for these field trips, do not forget to bring with you :
- your tools ( hammers, chisels, sledge-hammer, (hand cultivator or shovel in some case), rucksac, and newspaper to wrap up your precious findings, trolley and boxes, if you want to collect big pieces for your japanese garden...
- the indispensable personal safety equipment ( hard hat, goggles and gloves ) (see also our webpage on safety)
- picnic, and ...
- a raincoat.
If you have pictures of Field trips of the club, e-mail them to us ! ( ), we will publish them.
The pictures of our field trips are published in the LITHORAMA , temporarily in our blog ( http://lithomin.blog4ever.com ) and in our database.
